Paul Guinan’s Boilerplate artwork is featured in the Short Circuit Robot Show at the Benjamin Benjamin Gallery (and prominently on their website’s home page) for the month of March. Only one word can describe a show that includes paintings from the legendary Eric Joyner: AWESOME!
As Eric’s latest series of works involves robots with doughnuts, the yummy baked goods will be served at the opening on Thursday, March 3.
Wind yourself up and march over to 1720 NW Lovejoy, PDX, for this show!

Ben Dewey has worked his magic on another fantastic piece: The X-Men’s Colossus, fighting The Brood.

This was painted in ink, marker, watercolor, and whatever else Ben had handy on high quality watercolor paper. The original art is for sale at The Periscope Studio Etsy store. It’s really something to see. The scan doesn’t do it justice.
Colossus was created by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum, and is ©Marvel Comics.

Along with Jonathan Case, Paul Guinan did a painting for McMenamins. It’s at the Kennedy School’s Boiler Room Bar–yes, Paul’s robot Boilerplate is involved…

Sure, you’ve always suspected Paul Guinan of having the widest-ranging talent of anyone you know… but now, here’s proof!
During the First Thursday gallery gala for June, Paul will display a one-man exhibition of works in a variety of media–from paintings on canvas, to traditional photography, to ink drawings. Also on display will be the digital art that Paul calls “Paintography,” and even some homemade toys.
This is a truly unique event, with rarely viewed original art and previously unseen work. Not quite a retrospective, but certainly the most comprehensive show Paul has ever mounted. It’s not to be missed! At the opening will be Anina Bennett, who will present the public debut of Paul’s nude portrait of her. How’s that for a little interest-piquing teaser?!

Besides having the best name ever, he paints like Rembrandt, if Rembrandt maybe had a psychotic break.
