NPR discusses The Savannah College of Art and Design’s series of Twilight Zone graphic novels. In fifteen minutes of discussion, they never quite get around to mentioning any of the artists who drew the books, but we’re glad to inform you that two of them were illustrated by Periscope Studio’s own Rich Ellis. I’ll have some art for you at when I get the chance to drag files from Rich, but in the meantime you can listen to someone from SCAD talk up the project.

A collector recently commissioned Rich Ellis to do a Fables piece. Here’s what he got: If you’re interested in commissioning an Ellis piece for yourself, write Rich at fendygit4(at)gmail.com Over at the Pulse, Sara Ryan and I were interviewed by Chris Beckett about Sara’s and my first comics story together “Me and Edith Head.” Sara’s also got a seriously snazzy new web-design up at her site. (Design by Space Ninja) Rich Ellis cold got him a website. Sean Bieri visted the studio today and informed us that his comic JAPE is going to be appearing regularly at serializer.net Ron Chan’s “A Dummy’s Guide to Danger” got another good review. Colleen Coover’s assembled a couple of mini-sketchbooks that she’ll have for sale. Look for these: She’s also gonna be gloving up with the Thing Hands on Friday, participating in the Comic Art Battle, and Steve Lieber and Colleen are on a panel on Saturday along with Paul Chadwick, Kazu Kibuishi, Aaron Renier, and Ezra Claytan Daniels.
