If you’ve taken a look at our Appearances page lately, you’ll see that this weekend heralds the coming of the great Stumptown Comics Fest! You’ll be able to find most of Periscope* loitering around table blocks K and L Saturday (10am-6pm) and Sunday (12pm-6pm) at the Oregon Convention Center. We’ll also be out in force at the Fest’s official after party on Saturday night at the Jupiter Hotel, where Jeff Parker and Cat Farris join local comics heavyweights to duke it out in the annual Art Battle.
*The full list: Aaron McConnell, Jeremy Barlow, Ben Dewey, Cat Farris, Colleen Coover, Dustin Weaver, Dylan Meconis, Erika Moen, Grace Allison, Jonathan Case, Karl Kesel, Natalie Nourigat, Paul Guinan, Paul Tobin, Rich Ellis, Ron Chan, Ron Randall, Steve Lieber, Terri Nelson, Jesse Hamm, and Terry Blas.
Several members are also appearing on panels, giving workshops, and holding signings. On Saturday, join Jonathan Case for a workshop on Composing Comics, Ben Dewey on Style and Communication, Mike Russel interviewing Dylan Meconis, and the infamous Freelancer Panel with Erika Moen, Natalie Nourigat, and negotiation ninja Katie Lane.
On Sunday, we’ve got a spotlight on Ron Randall’s Trekker with Dark Horse editor Jim Gibbons, a not-to-be-missed Manga Studio workshop with Wook Jin Clark, a Queer Culture in Comics panel with Erika Moen and Terry Blas, and a look at Kickstarter and Indie Comics with Dylan Meconis and others.
The full schedule (including times, locations, and descriptions) can be found here.
